VPN Mondial is set up device by device: install the client, import the configuration or scan the supplied QR code, then check that the tunnel is active. Allow a few minutes per device and keep the client area open while you work.
What you need to prepare
- Access to your client area and your sign-in credentials.
- The configuration file or QR code that comes with the subscription.
- The client matching the configuration format provided, either WireGuard or OpenVPN.
- Administrator rights on the device, to install the application and its network driver.
Install the client on each system
On Windows and macOS, download the application from the official site of the publisher named in your client area, then run the installer with administrator rights. On Linux, install the package provided by your distribution or the client's official repository. On Android and iOS, use the platform's official store and check the publisher name before installing.
Import the configuration or scan the QR code
With a WireGuard-type configuration, open the client, choose to add a tunnel, then import the file or scan the QR code shown in your client area. With an OpenVPN-type configuration, import the profile and enter the requested credentials. Do not edit the file you received: the keys and addresses it contains belong to your subscription only.
Connect and check the tunnel
- Enable the tunnel and wait for the connected state.
- Check the public IP address: it must match the VPN server, not your internet provider.
- Open two common websites to confirm browsing and DNS resolution.
- Check the device time and time zone: a large offset can prevent the tunnel from coming up.
Add your other devices
One VPN Mondial subscription covers all your devices. Generate a separate configuration per device and give it a clear name (desktop, phone, tablet): you can then revoke a lost or replaced access without touching the others. Never install the same configuration on two devices at once.
Updates and good practice
Update the client and the operating system, then check the connection again: some updates reset firewall rules. Keep the file or QR code in a protected place and remove old configurations when you change device. If the tunnel no longer starts, follow the troubleshooting procedure before recreating a configuration.
